Types of Yoga

Hatha Yoga

This classic yoga styles incorporates pranayama (breath work), asana (physical poses), relaxation and meditation. Classes are designed to improve balance, flexibility and build strength. We incorporate standing poses, vinyasa, sitting / floor poses, balancing poses, twists, and meditation while mindfully connecting breath and movement as we go. Hatha yoga is easily adapted to various levels and can include “vinyasa flow” or “power yoga” style.

Restorative Yoga

This is a gentle and therapeutic form of yoga which promotes relaxation and rejuvenation with emphasis on breathing, stretching, meditation and body awareness. During class we explore various floor/sitting poses, also utilizing props such as blankets, yoga blocks and straps to assist you to get the full benefit of each poses.

Yoga-Reiki

Yoga Reiki features restorative yoga poses, breathing exercises, meditation and reiki treatment. During a session you will be guided through several restorative yoga poses while you relax in these poses, the practitioner applies Reiki energy to different areas of your body as needed.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow paced more passive style yoga where typically poses are held for 3 to 5 minutes or longer. It’s a wonderful way to get deeper stretches with focus on strengthening and maintaining flexibility of the joints, fascia and connective tissues.
